### Embedded components

Embedded components are third-party software packaged with the platform.

| Component | Description |
| - | - |
| **[SpiceDB](https://authzed.com/spicedb)** | **An open-source, database-backed system for managing fine-grained authorization. Provides a relationship-based access control model (ReBAC) and powers complex authorization at scale.** |
| **[SpiceDB Operator](https://github.com/authzed/spicedb-operator)** | **A Kubernetes operator that automates the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of SpiceDB instances. It handles operational tasks such as upgrades, scaling, and configuration changes.** |
| **[Dgraph](https://docs.dgraph.io/)** | **A distributed, open-source graph database designed for high-performance queries and real-time graph processing. Supports GraphQL natively and is optimized for horizontal scalability.** |

## Deployment notes

### Standard deployment

This maintenance release follows standard FlowX.AI deployment procedures with no special considerations:

1. Update container images to 5.1.14 versions listed in the table
2. Deploy services using your standard deployment process
3. Verify deployment via **FlowX Designer > Platform Status**

### Configuration changes

> [!NOTE]
>
> No configuration changes are required for this release. The audit index retention settings below are optional.

### New environment variables: audit index retention

The Audit service can now delete old audit data and roll over by shard size. Both settings are off by default, so the Audit service doesn't delete data unless you set a retention period.

| Environment Variable | Description | Default Value | Component |
| - | - | - | - |
| `FLOWX_ELASTICSEARCH_INDEXRETENTIONDAYS` | Days after a backing index rolls over before it's deleted | Not set: indices are never deleted | audit-core |
| `FLOWX_ELASTICSEARCH_INDEXROLLOVERMAXPRIMARYSHARDSIZE` | Also roll over when a primary shard reaches this size, such as `50gb` | Not set: roll over by age only | audit-core |

> [!WARNING]
>
> When you first set `FLOWX_ELASTICSEARCH_INDEXRETENTIONDAYS`, the Audit service also deletes backing indices that rolled over more than that many days ago. See [Configuring Elasticsearch](https://docs.flowx.ai/5.1/setup-guides/audit-setup-guide.md#configuring-elasticsearch).

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Events Gateway, real-time event delivery:** the default Redis read mode on the 5.1.x line remains `polling` (`EVENTS_REDIS_MODE`), introduced in 5.1.10. No action is required. If you previously set `EVENTS_REDIS_MODE=blocking` explicitly, switch it to `polling`.

> [!TIP]
>
> No required configuration changes
> No database migrations
> No breaking changes
> Compatible with existing 5.1.13 processes and configurations

### What's included in 5.1.14

This maintenance release includes:

* **Android renderer fix** for the action loader on modal screens
* **Optional audit index retention** and shard-size rollover settings
* **Security patches and dependency upgrades** across platform components

For detailed information on all changes, see the [FlowX.AI 5.1.14 Release Notes](https://docs.flowx.ai/release-notes/v5.x/v5.1.x-lts/v5.1.14-october-2026.md).

## Third-party supported component versions

Within each version line listed below, versions that have reached upstream end of life are not supported, even though their major/minor is listed.

| FlowX.AI Version | 3rd Party Dependency | Supported Versions |
| - | - | - |
| 5.1.14 | Keycloak | 26+ |
| 5.1.14 | Kafka | 3.8, 3.9 |
| 5.1.14 | PostgreSQL | 16, 17 |
| 5.1.14 | Oracle Database | 21c, 23ai |
| 5.1.14 | MongoDB | 7, 8 |
| 5.1.14 | Redis | 7, 8 |
| 5.1.14 | Elasticsearch | 8 |
| 5.1.14 | Angular (Web SDK) | 19.2 |
| 5.1.14 | React (Web SDK) | 18.x |

> [!NOTE]
>
> The table lists version lines, not individual versions. A version is supported for as long as its vendor still supports it, so check the version you plan to deploy against that vendor's lifecycle page before committing to it. When a version reaches upstream end of life it is no longer supported; upgrade that component to keep your deployment on a supported configuration. Versions can also be added during the family's lifetime as FlowX validates them.
